Tristar is our hotel of choice in Nha Trang based on good reviews, an affordable price and its abundance of ‘green’ features, such as dual flush toilets, AC activated by your room key, and solar powered electricity. A newer hotel, it is also located three blocks from the beach and almost a mile from the main tourist section of the city; not necessarily a negative. The rooms are small, but very clean and well-appointed. The bathrooms include a rainfall shower, separated from the rest of the bathroom by a glass door (appreciated, as most showers in Vietnam are stuck in the middle of the bathroom with no separation from the toilet and sink). A mini bar, safe, flat screen TV with a few American channels and a small work space rounded out our fifth floor room with a view of the city skyline. The affordable rate also includes an average, but filling breakfast. The staff is professional and friendly (especially Sophie), and offered the use of the hotel shower before our night bus to Da Nang. Check out our blog post on Nha Trang.
Laundry service is available at 30,0000 dong/kilo and your clothes will be returned gently washed, dried and neatly folded.
