Day trip to the Island of BracTravel 50 minutes by ferry to Croatia's largest island and home to one of the country's most famed beaches. The Island of Brac is easily accessible for a Split day trip, with ferries running nearly every hour throughout the day for 33 Kuna (approximately $5) each way. Once you arrive, hop on the bus (44 Kuna, approximately $7 round trip) for 40 minutes to the town of Bol. The drive is beautiful, winding through olive farms and traversing hills with ocean views. Your two hour travel time will be rewarded with one of the most unique and beautiful beaches in the world: Zlatni Rat. A narrow peninsula with shallow, calm, crystal clear water on each side, the two-sided stone beach is a slice of paradise. In summer months, look for paddle boats, tubing and various activities offshore. Arrive early, spend a day in the sun, and grab a gelato as you walk through the shaded pine back to the bus stop.
