The Itinerary

London
  • Day 1: Welcome to London! This vibrant capital city expertly blends modern culture and arts with history that dates back nearly 2,000 years to 47AD when Britain was invaded by the Romans. Check in to your hotel and get settled. It’s been a long journey, so enjoy a relaxed dinner (fish & chips, perhaps?!) before calling it a night.
  • Day 2: Wake up to your first full day in jolly ol’ England. Enjoy a relaxed ‘full English’ breakfast before meeting your guide for a group bike tour, with stops at key sites around the city like the London Eye, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, and more. Enjoy a relaxed afternoon exploring the shops and cafes of the historic Soho and Covent Garden before dinner at one of London’s world-class restaurants, and, if you’d like, possibly a show in the famous West End.
  • Day 3: Spend your second full day diving into the city's rich history, seeing the Crown Jewels and learning more about England’s tumultuous past on a visit to the Tower of London. Cross the Thames and head to lunch at Borough Market, London’s famous covered food market. The afternoon is free to explore - choose to take a trip on the London Eye, Europe’s largest ferris wheel, visit one of the city’s fantastic (and free) museums, or tuck in to a cozy pub for a pint. Either sit down to a delicious dinner, or opt to join a food tour of London's East End, home to the city’s best Indian restaurants.

Paris
  • Day 4: Cheerio, London! Head to the beautiful King’s Cross St Pancras station to board your high-speed Eurostar train to Paris. In just 2 hours you’ll be in Paris, surrounded by fine art, history, culture and incomparable French cuisine. Check into your boutique hotel before meeting your private guide for an introductory tour of Paris from a local’s perspective. Visit key spots such as Shakespeare & Co, Notre Dame and Sainte Chapelle before sitting down at a streetside cafe to sip a glass of wine and watch the world go by.
  • Day 5: Rise and shine to a hot café au lait before making your way over to one of the world’s most impressive museums, the Musée du Louvre. Explore the former palace on your own, taking in unmissable masterpieces such as the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo, or opt for a private guide. After lunch, hop on the Batobus, Paris’ river bus, to cruise down the Seine, all the way to the iconic Eiffel tower. Your pre-booked ticket will take you to the tip top for incredible views of the city from above. Ride the batobus back up the river or explore the area - the rest of the day can be spent however feels right.
  • Day 6: After a flakey croissant, you’re off to Montmatre, a neighborhood that was  historically home to artists such as Picasso and Dalí, and is now known for street artists, buskers, artisan food shops, and cabaret halls, including the iconic Moulin Rouge. Taste local delicacies including macarons, crêpes, cheeses, french breads and wine with your small group and local guide. The afternoon is free - you may want to stroll La Marais, popping into the historic Marche des Enfants Rouges. Or choose to add a guided tour of Paris’ famous catacombs, home to the bones of more than 6 million Parisians. The evening can be spent at a cozy bistrot or aboard a luxury Bateaux Parisiens river boat, the choice is yours.

Amsterdam
  • Day 7: Sleep in and enjoy a slow, relaxed French breakfast before making your way back to Paris’ Gare du Nord for the high-speed train to Amsterdam. After arriving, check in to your boutique hotel before taking a walk around the city’s vibrant Jordaan district, famous for beautiful shops, cafes, restaurants and galleries. As the evening sets in, board a classic wooden saloon Dutch boat. As your guide introduces you to the city, sip local wine and nibble on pre-dinner snacks.
  • Day 8: After breakfast, head to the Van Gogh museum for a deep-dive into the world-famous post-Impressionist Dutch painter, featuring his many self-portraits and masterpieces such as Sunflowers. For lunch, swing by Foodhallen to try bitterballen (crispy meatballs), broodje haring (herring sandwich) and jenever (a juniper-flavored spirit). Make your way to the Anne Frank museum where you’ll learn about Anne and her family before exploring the house and annex where she hid from the Nazis. As the sun sets, grab a canal-side drink followed by a delicious Dutch dinner in one of the many world-class restaurants of Amsterdam.
  • Day 9: Grab a hot, strong coffee with a pannakoeken (Dutch pancake) or two before meeting your guide for a countryside group bicycle tour. Cycle out of the city over dams and dykes, cruise through farmland, stop for a taste of the (self-proclaimed) world’s best apple pie, see the world-famous Dutch windmills and ride through picturesque villages as you learn about life as an Amsterdammer. Back in the city, the afternoon is free to swing by the Rijksmuseum, stroll through the De Negen Straatjes district, or relax at a trendy cafe.
  • Day 10: Enjoy your final European breakfast and savor the morning before heading to the airport and hopping on the plane for your flight home.

FAQs

WHAT IS A DESIGNED TRIP?
A Designed Trip is a pre-designed travel plan based on our personal, first-hand travel experiences in each destination. As they are pre-designed, our Designed Trips have been created as a turnkey travel option and can be booked and delivered in as little as one week.
CAN I MAKE ANY CHANGES TO A DESIGNED TRIP?
Absolutely! Pre-designed doesn’t mean there isn’t any flexibility. Whether you want to shorten or lengthen your trip, switch out a destination or change an activity, let us know. If, however, you want a trip built around your specific desires, a Custom Trip might be more appropriate. We can help you decide, so get in touch.
HOW LONG DOES THE PROCESS TAKE?
Once you’ve selected your Designed Trip and chosen between a Boutique, Luxury Boutique or Luxury experience, your trip can be booked and delivered in as little as one week. If you would like to make some changes to your trip, such as including an alternative activity, shortening or lengthening your trip, then this can take a bit longer.
HOW DO I KNOW HOW MUCH MY DESIGNED TRIP WILL COST?
Once you have decided on your Designed Trip, your dates, and any adjustments we will provide a personalized itinerary and pricing for your trip. We have included base pricing on each Designed Trip page to give you an idea as to what the final cost might be, but prices can fluctuate depending on time of year and any personalization. Get in touch and we can help.
If you have any other questions, feel free to check out more FAQs or send us an email.
