The Trip

With its two dramatic peaks, volcanic hot springs and mud baths, rainforest hikes and waterfalls, vibrant local culture and delicious creole food, St. Lucia is not your typical beach resort getaway. Our 7 day, 6 night island adventure combines exploration, culture, and plenty of time to relax and float in the Caribbean’s turquoise water. Begin on the northern side of the island, known for long white sand beaches, gorgeous boutique resorts, creole flavors, and sweeping views. Learn to cook like a Lucian, take in the sunset from the sea and experience a guided hike with diverse plants and wildlife. Move to the south side of the island on a private catamaran charter where you'll discover hidden coves and secret snorkeling spots. The second half of your trip will be spent in the jungle, where cocoa pods are transformed to chocolate bars and the dramatic piton peaks tower above sandy coves. Explore the area with a private guide and learn about local life and culture along the way. A little bit beach vacation, a little bit outdoor adventure, and a little bit cultural exploration - all the perfect ingredients for an exciting and relaxing warm weather getaway.

The ​​Itinerary

• Day 1: Welcome to the West Indies and the stunning Caribbean island of Saint Lucia. Step off the plane and take in the warm air and sea breeze before meeting your private driver. Take in the views as you make your way to the north side of the island. Check in to your sea side resort and spend the afternoon at either the beach or the pool.
• Day 2: After an early breakfast at the hotel, you’ll be picked up for a half day hike through the rainforest along the Jacquot Trail where you'll learn about the plants and animals that are unique to the island. After the hike, either head back to your hotel or to the town of Rodney Bay for lunch. In the late afternoon, you’ll be picked up for a sunset sail on board a luxury 50’ sailing catamaran with Creole appetizers and cocktails.
• Day 3: Today on the agenda? A mid-day course at Cook Like a Lucian Cooking School where you’ll learn how to prepare unique Lucian recipes with creole influences. After cooking, the food will be packaged up and brought down to the beach for a delicious beach picnic. Spend the afternoon relaxing or exploring Pigeon Island, a small (connected) islet and national park with walking trails, historic bunkers,  and gorgeous beaches.
• Day 4: Wake up, pack your bags and head to the marina to board a private day charter that will take you to the southern side of the island. Along the way, explore the best hidden beaches and snorkeling coves with mind-blowing views of the famous Pitons from the sea. In the late afternoon, disembark in the town of Soufriere, where a shuttle will be waiting to take you to your jungle plantation resort.

Soufriere

• Day 5: In the morning, you’ll be picked up for a full-day exploration of the southern side of the island. Your local guide will tell you all about the island’s history, daily life and culture as you swim in waterfalls, relax in volcanic mud baths and enjoy a delicious creole lunch.
• Day 6: ​Sleep in and enjoy a relaxed final morning in paradise. After breakfast, you’ll visit a cocoa grower and chocolatier to participate in a tree-to-bar experience. Experience every step that goes in to making a chocolate bar - from cocoa pod to packaging - tasting samples along the way. In the afternoon, relax at the hotel pool or take the complimentary shuttle to the beach. Either way, don’t miss your final St. Lucian sunset before a dinner under the stars.
• Day 7: Wake up to the sounds of the jungle and the breeze from the sea. After a big breakfast, you’ll be picked up and driven to the airport for your flight home.

​WHAT IS A DESIGNED TRIP?

A Designed Trip is a pre-designed travel plan based on our personal, first-hand travel experiences in each destination. As they are pre-designed, our Designed Trips have been created as a turnkey travel option and can be booked and delivered in as little as one week. ​

CAN I MAKE ANY CHANGES TO A DESIGNED TRIP?

Absolutely! Pre-designed doesn’t mean there isn’t any flexibility. Whether you want to shorten or lengthen your trip, switch out a destination or change an activity, let us know. If, however, you want a trip built around your specific desires, a Custom Trip might be more appropriate. We can help you decide, so get in touch.

​​HOW LONG DOES THE PROCESS TAKE?

Once you’ve selected your Designed Trip and chosen between a Boutique, Luxury Boutique or Luxury experience, your trip can be booked and delivered in as little as one week. If you would like to make some changes to your trip, such as including an alternative activity, shortening or lengthening your trip, then this can take a bit longer.

HOW DO I KNOW HOW MUCH MY DESIGNED TRIP WILL COST?

​Once you have decided on your Designed Trip, your dates, and any adjustments we will provide a personalized itinerary and pricing for your trip. We have included base pricing on each Designed Trip page to give you an idea as to what the final cost might be, but prices can fluctuate depending on time of year and any personalization. Get in touch and we can help.
