Tuol Sleng Genocide MuseumA prison during the Khmer Rouge regime in the late 1970’s, the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum tells the story of the atrocities committed during this tragic period. Formerly a high school, Tuol Sleng is located in the urban center of Phnom Penh with dozens of classrooms turned prison cells turned museum displays that show how horrific of a place it truly was in hopes that it may be avoided in the future. Although a very difficult place to visit, Tuol Sleng is a must when in Phnom Penh.
